You get one seed a day, and it goes into the same garden as everyone else's, somewhere between a flower planted by a stranger in Berlin and one from a kid in Brisbane. It sprouts in real hours. It blooms in real days. Come back tomorrow and yours has changed, and the garden around it has too.
Why it exists
Almost everything on the internet asks you to consume it. TEND asks you to leave something. One small living thing with your fingerprint on it, growing whether you watch it or don't. That changes what the place is: the garden is only lovely because people keep coming, so every visitor makes it a little more worth visiting, which is the opposite of how most of the internet works.
It is also deliberately slow. You cannot binge a garden. A seed takes a day to sprout, a week to bud and blooms in its second week, and no amount of tapping hurries it. The toy hands you exactly one small ritual and then sends you off to live your day, and that restraint is the design.
How it works
One seed a day
Tap plant, and the garden gives your seed a species and a name of its own, like the quiet poppy or the plucky sunflower. Tomorrow you can plant another.
It grows in real time
A sprout by tomorrow, leaves in a few days, a bud within the week, then a bloom that stands for three more. The garden also keeps real hours: visit at night and it is night there too, fireflies included.

Your flowers are marked when you return on the same device, and every flower has its own link you can hand to a friend. After its month in the sun, a flower retires into the meadow count, one of everyone who ever grew here.
The quiet parts
No account, no ads, nothing following you around. Which flowers are yours is something only your own browser knows. The garden itself stores just three things per plant: when it was planted, what species it is, and the name the garden gave it. Names come from the garden, never from a keyboard, which is why the place can stay sweet without a moderator watching it.
