Somewhere in every toybox there should be one toy with no rules at all. BUBBLES is that toy: bubbles drift up, you pop them, they make the good sound. Once in a while an enormous one climbs slowly into view, and popping it feels like an occasion, so it throws confetti. Nobody scores anything. Nobody loses anything. Nobody is even counting.
Why it exists
Because the first videogame most tiny humans meet should ask nothing of them. No menus to escape, no fail state to explain, no numbers to feel bad about. A bubble popped with one finger by an eighteen-month-old is exactly as correct as anything anyone has ever done in any game. The restraint IS the design: everything this toy does not have was left out on purpose.
Pop
Touch a bubble, any bubble. It pops with a sound pitched to its size, small ones bright, big ones deep. Dragging a finger through a crowd of them is legal and encouraged.
The giant
Every so often a truly enormous bubble rises like a slow moon. It pops DEEP, and it throws confetti, because some achievements deserve fanfare even when they took one finger.
The quiet parts
No account, no ads, no score, no reading, no failure. The bubbles that escape uncounted are happy for you to let them go.
